What it does
Run Look Creative – IT Health Check and you’ll get a colour-coded snapshot of device health across four areas—System Health, Network, Security, and Configuration. It’s designed for first-line triage and quick assurance, whether you’re on-site or remote.
At a glance it checks:
- System specs & performance: CPU/RAM load, uptime, disk SMART status and free space, startup program count, third-party auto-services (“bloat”) and open SMB/RDP ports.
- Network reality: Broadband download/upload and latency, Wi-Fi signal quality, gateway jitter.
- Security posture: Antivirus presence (favouring recognised third-party suites), Defender real-time status & signature freshness, Windows Update status, firewall on/off.
- DNS filtering: Tries well-known test domains across phishing/malware categories and detects genuine block pages—short, definitive pass/fail.
All results are shown in a clean, centred UI with quick “PASS/FAIL/N/A” chips and friendly explanations. A Health Score rolls the findings into a single number, making it easy to summarise during a call.
One-click, safe optimisations (optional)
When run with admin rights, you can apply a curated set of low-risk tune-ups—exactly what a seasoned engineer would do on a first visit:
- Trim non-essential third-party auto-services to Manual
- Attempt Windows Updates (with reboot flag)
- SFC (System File Checker) with clear outcomes: no issues, repaired, or repairs needed
- Clear temp files & Recycle Bin (with counts and bytes reclaimed)
- SSD retrim for modern drives
- Flush DNS cache
- Clear Windows Update download cache
There’s a friendly disclaimer screen, live progress with tips, and a neat optimisation results view summarising what ran and what changed.
Reports your clients will actually read
With one click you can export a branded PDF (logo respected, correct aspect ratio). It includes:
- A big, colour-coded Health Score (green ≥90, amber 70–89, red ≤69)
- “Based on X checks; Y failed”—clear and honest
- System Specifications
- Network, Security, and System Health findings (concise and client-friendly)
By default, reports save straight to the user’s Desktop, so they’re easy to find and attach.
